In July of 2003, the Dean of the School of Medicine
and the Vice President for Research at Temple
University joined together to form the Office
of Clinical Research. This venture came about
in direct response to the shifting landscape
in clinical research and the impact on our faculty,
industry, and in satisfying the needs for the
role of Temple University School of Medicine
and Temple University Hospital in providing
patient care and conducting clinical research.
The Office of Clinical Research and its sections
are dedicated to providing a full-range of services
at Temple to help assist investigators with
clinical research and is dedicated to ensuring
an atmosphere conducive to producing quality
research outcomes.
Major Goals of the

To help locate
and place clinical research studies
to be performed at Temple University
To help ensure
quality, integrity and proper regulatory
compliance for clinical research studies
To serve as a
central area for clinical protocol submissions
To provide an
infrastructure and support systems for
conducting clinical research
To provide a
source for faculty development in clinical
research
