The Temple University Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) are responsible for the regulation and monitoring of all University research on or involving human subjects.
Adverse Events Reporting
The Adverse Events Reporting and Tracking System was developed for use by clinical investigators. This AE reporting system is a joint development effort of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), the Office for Clinical Trials (OCT) and the Electronic Research Administration (ERA) office.
Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC)
The Temple University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) is responsible for the regulation and monitoring of all University research on or involving animal subjects.
Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)
The Temple University Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) is responsible for the regulation and monitoring of all University research that involves recombinant DNA, infectious agents, and other biohazards.
Environmental Health & Radiation Safety (EHRS)
The Environmental Health and Radiation Safety Department (EHRS) is responsible for ensuring the safe use of radioactive materials, radiation- producing equipment, chemicals and biological substances at the University, Hospital and affiliated institutions. EHRS is responsible for identifying safety problems; initiating, recommending, or providing corrective actions; verifying implementation of corrective actions; and ensuring compliance with regulations and University policies for the use of hazardous substances.
