2004 Survey Data Added to Community Health Data Base Across All Topic Areas at Temple’s Social Science Data Library
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies has announced that data from the 2004 Southeastern Pennsylvania Household Survey is now available through the Community Health Data Base (CHDB) to all Temple students, faculty, and staff. Along with data from the 1998, 2000, and 2002 surveys, this additional data set expands the potential for conducting conduct trend analysis across a multitude of health and community related topic areas. more...

The Microarray Facility offers Temple investigators the ability to expeditiously profile the RNA expression of large numbers of genes in cells and tissues. Specifically, the facility offers: RNA amplification technology, which will allow analyses of a few or even single cells; catalog and custom printed glass slide microarrays; and access to scanners and robotics for high throughput RNA profiling, genomic DNA assays and library processing. more...

The Office of Research and Graduate Studies is pleased to announce the availability of a unique data set that will serve as an effective tool for the Temple community for research, curriculum, and other special projects with students and colleagues. This is the Philadelphia Health Management Corporation's Community Health Data Base(http://www.phmc.org/chdb/) is a unique data set that servers as an effective tool for the Temple community for research, curriculum and other special projects with students and colleagues. The allows Temple faculty, staff and students to develop information by neighborhoods, census tracts, ZIP codes, health districts, municipalities, counties, and the region as a whole. This information can be demographically targeted (i.e. ethnic and racial groups, women/men, older adultts, TANF recipients, uninsured, children, any age group, etc). more…
