Sponsored Programs
Advisory Network
Bridging the Gap between Faculty, Staff, Administrators
and Sponsors
Welcome to the first addition
of our new electronic version of a Research
Newsletter. We have called it TU SPAN for
Sponsored Programs Advisory Network and have
adopted a bridge as its logo because the purpose
of this newsletter will be to bridge the gap
between faculty, staff, administrators and
funding sponsors. It is anticipated that TU
SPAN will be distributed about once a month.
We promise that most editions will be short
and will contain helpful information for all
of you who are trying your best to write and
submit grants but aren't always sure where
to go for information and help. As always,
the staffs of the research offices on Main
Campus and HSC are always available to you.
However, perhaps the information contained
in these newsletters will save you some time
and a few steps. We also will be recognizing
those of you who have received new grants
in future issues. In addition to the version
sent to everyone on the university listserv,
a copy will be archived on our newly revised
and soon to be re-launched web site (www.research.temple.edu).
Finally, we would appreciate your feedback
about TU SPAN. In particular we are interested
in knowing what type of information you would
like us to include in future issues.
